Warranty and RMA policy

General Return Policy

Grassroots Computers does not offer any direct warranty or return services. If your item listing specifies a “manufacturer warranty” you must contact the manufacturer directly for any issues. This includes DOA product. The manufacturer will help you set up an exchange for any defective product within the stated warranty period. They will require the customer to pay for shipping the defective product to them. They will require the customer to pay for shipping the DOA product to them. This is industry standard. Western Digital Tech support and RMA services phone # is 800-275-4932. You can also arrange an RMA on their website, www.wdc.com.

Do not attempt to open the external casing around a hard drive, as this will void your warranty.  

Customers agree to report lost or damaged shipping claims to help@grassrootscomputers.com within 48 hours of receiving the shipment. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of any possible remedy from grassrootscomputers.com

Contact the manufacturer for warranty replacement/repair. Repairs can take anywhere from a few weeks to 2 months. Please make arrangements accordingly.
